Fleet
Meet the DeHavilland Beaver. Built for the Canadian wilderness, the Beaver is well known for performing under some of the most difficult conditions while exhibiting exceptional short field takeoff and landing capabilities (STOL). Our fleet consists of one DeHavilland Beaver, C-GOXI. Both aircraft is powered by a nine cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior Radial engine producing 450 hp. Continue below to read up on the history of this airframe.

C-GOXI
-
Delivered to the USAF in 1954 and assigned to the 27th Air Division until 1957 in Norton AFB, CA. It was then attached to many units over its time in the USAF until 1960.
-
Purchased by Air-Dale Flying services in 1977 based in Hawk Lake where it flew just north of Sault Ste. Marie.
-
Canada Inc. then purchased GOXI where it flew for one year in Elliot Lake before being sold to a private owner in Hawaii in 2014.
-
As complications with the purchase of OXI arose, it never left Canada and was then acquired by Killarney Air Services in 2024.
-
We are excited to operate this aircraft out of Sault Ste. Marie where it will be operated on straight floats in the summers and wheels and skis in the winters.
